Hello Larry: Sorry about not be in contact more often. I am quite busy with my new capacity as IT Manager at APU.
SaigonLUG is pretty much dead now. Tracy just left, permanently, for the US yesterday. The other Linux expats are not relatively active. There is a new group of new Linux expat users that are interested. I have not heard from Dr. Son or Mr. Khoa. I should send them a message but I just do not have the time at the moment. Maybe after I return from the US in a couple of weeks. APU will hire a PHP web developer and a db admin but I will have to wait until September to put a request in. I will contact the 4 interested guys at that time but my superior told me that I needed to advertise for the position as well. I will let you know when we start hiring again. I should have been able to hire two guys already but school politics stopped this. The school felt that 4 IT people were enough. Unfortunately, they do not know what IT really is so when they refused to hire two more people, I got stuck with developing the website. I will also have to focus on the various db projects as well. Hopefully this will change in September, If things work out right, SaigonLUG will get going again in Sept.
