That is great! Welcome to VM. The best way for you to get started would be to download the latest revision of the trunk from here https://code.launchpad.net/~vm/vm/trunk and set up your VM to use the Thunderbird directory. Then you can use both VM and Thunderbird on the same mail folders. However, don't try to modify the same folder from both the tools at the same time! There are people here that have experience with Thunderbird inter-operation. I use VM & Thunderbird for IMAP folders, which are safe for concurrent access. VM hasn't had SMIME support traditionally, but Arik Mitschang recently contributed SMIME support. I just merged it into the trunk. You can try it out and tell us how it works. Please send bug reports to [email protected] (or use M-x vm-submit-bug-report). VM works fine with MSMTP. But, how to set up vm-pcrisis to use it, I am not sure. Has anybody tried it? Cheers, Uday
