VM should always position the cursor at the beginning of the message. If it is not doing so, it is probably a bug, which would have been fixed in later versions. I don't know what happens when there is a long "To:" list. Haven't seen such messages in a long time. But if you use Summaries (see the manual), then it is easy to scroll messages using the <SPACE> bar. Cheers, Uday
