I had alredy given up on VM altogether, since it has so many bugs (at least in my setup) that it has cost me dozens of hours and many lost emails. I am willing to reconsider. I fully agree that it is important to publish a new "baseline" release. The task for people like me would then be to try and recreate each bug in a minimal configuration on that new baseline release, and then file issues. That is the best way forward.
