Guys,

I'm reporting this, but don't have a really repeatable test case yet,
just looking to get feedback if anyone else has seen this.

1. open INBOX (where I get new mail, haven't noticed this on IMAP or
   other local folders... yet).

2. Mark a bunch of messages with the same subject using 'M S', then
delete with 'M N d' and somehow all new messages get deleted.
   Which is annoying.

But if I read a few messages... then it doesn't seem to happen. Maybe
I haven't even hit 'space' to view the message body, I know it's spam
or something I just want to ignore and delete the thread. Not sure.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this type of behavior?

I'm running 8.3.x ( vm-commit f1353d58a560b9de2f5193260f144ee237452354
) which I need to update to the latest version, on emacs 28.2 for
Debian 12. But from a quick look in the git log I didn't see anything
that made sense.

So I'm in the discovery phase here, not quite ready for a full bug
report, but looking for others who might have run into this.

And yes, I need to do "emacs -q" to load a clean version and try it
out without anything more than my IMAP connection settings.

Thanks,
John
