If you encounter this as a user who has not previously added this rather
whimsically named setting to their setup on purpose, then yes.

This was never meant for a "normal user".  I found it useful and added
it to my setup many years ago.  If the function is to be integrated
into the "standard" distribution, it could be renamed and documented.
