I am busy with planning and arranging some music for performance with a Dm lute playing friend. I have started some arrangements of French music, the Lawes duets (Stubbs recorded them on guitar with harp), and even a Vivaldi Andante.

I asked a few people at the LSA seminar this summer for ideas and came up with a few ideas:
1) "continuo-izing" a second part from an existing solo
2) Corbetta's Sinfonia -- but with the Dm doing the solo part and Theorbo handling continuo. 3) arranging from the Baroque lute literature. (I have begun with some French pieces with Contrapartie). With low 5th bourdon.
4) Trio sonata arrangements (Matteis was mentioned)

Does anyone have other suggestions for pieces (possibly specific), or even arrangements that they might be willing to share?

Theorbo and Dm lute is also a possible combination for this program.

Thanks. -- R
