I think it is necessary to list features. A friend of mine, long term user of viking, was not aware of this feature. But you're right, other maps should be listed. It is a wiki, so anybody can contribute. Perhaps could we restore OpenStreetMap and list other, or add a "TODO" marker. > Documentation>DEM layer > the ftp links arn't up to date, I will include the http links in the new > users > manual. Done. But I not linked the new page, as I think its content should be dispatched. What's your opinion? https://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/viking/index.php?title=Links > with repsect to the new wiki: > what sould be the difference between feature requests and wishlist? > should the feature request tracker be open for all, and wishlist be a listing > of the most popular requests? As far as I know, there is no specific reason. The wiki was used as a note pad. It is of course better to store wishlist in the tracker as items are... tracked. :-) If you have any idea/time to rework this part, feel free to do the job. > Personally, I like the important stuff 'toplevel'. therefore I introduced > links to the trackers (see the Help and Developement sections). > I hope this was ok. feel free to move them.... Yes, the wiki need to be reworked. The new one was started in a more structured way, but this job reclaims time. As we now have a single wiki, perhaps should it be simpler to restructure it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Viking-devel mailing list Viking-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/viking-devel Viking home page: http://viking.sf.net/
