I was editting with JOSM (version '5608') the other day and I just noticed it *does* show the bearing of the line being drawn. There's a 'compass' thing on the Statusbar at the bottom. Not sure how long this has been in JOSM, probably ages! However still to triangulate to a point, you'd have to draw the line features first. Then create the actual object at the intersection and then go back and delete the triangulation lines. Be Seeing You - Rob.
