I don't know how Linux Mint works, but it suggests that Mapnik 2.2 has been
removed - probably upgraded to Mapnik 3.

Your Viking binary in Mint seems to be linked against Mapnik 2.2.

Viking needs to be recompiled from source to link against the appropriate
version of Mapnik (i.e. 3) of the system.

You should take up this issue with the Mint developers directly if Viking is
supplied by them - as it would appear to be a packaging error in Linux Mint 18.

Or force a complete recompile (i.e. via ./autogen.sh to detect changed
dependencies) if you compile Viking yourself.
