I seem to recall that mentioned before.

I wrote a note about it (I've 1335 notes for vile at the moment):

20240329 Paul Fox question about ascii/non-ascii might be doable by
a script to change the character-class data.
                "set-char-class"
( add characters to class, given keyword and regular
expression )

The timing for 9.8zb was
        (a) gee it was a year since 9.8za
        (b) I've been trying to keep my git-exports no older than that
            https://github.com/ThomasDickey?tab=repositories
        (c) Fedora 44 branches tomorrow

I spent a chunk of time for a mawk update, both aimed at the
1-year and Fedora targets, and saw that just focusing on
the cursor-size fix, I could update vile for the same target.

I'd have liked to do

        https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1105547

as well, but the cursor-size took most of yesterday (XSetFont shouldn't
have been needed).

ah... I'd like to finish off the Xft/TrueType driver (xftplain).
That's been the main issue.

Before 9.8, I got up to 9.7zg (admittedly making more frequent changes).
