I have tried these setting of formatoptions now. I see, that even if I
don't set textwidth (it is 0) and if there are very much more than 80
columns, the text gets wrapped at column 80. The value of wrapmargin
is ignored. If I start gVim with gvim -u NONE and set the formatoptions,
the text always gets wrapped at the last column.
The option 'wrapmargin' does not work, either, even with the default
value of formatoptions: I have set wrapmargin to 1, columns is 133.
The text breaks at 122. Ok, Foldcolumn is 2, I have line numbers
set. But if I consider all that, the text should still wrap at 126.
With gvim -u NONE everything works fine.
But the really strange behavior is the following: I have defined several
mappings in my vimrc file. If I remove all mappings, above behavior is
gone (although the text is still wrapped at the wrong position if
wrapmargin is set). So, what happens if mappings are defined? I don't
see any mapping which could be executed when I am testing (I am mapping
the function keys).
I am running gVim 7.0g on Windows XP. The output of :scriptnames is:
