I rather have beginners copy the vimrc_example.vim file and change it. That way they learn about the commands inside them and what happens when disabled. Sourcing the script without looking in it doesn't teach you anything. I know this means that an updated version won't be picked up automatically, but that is less important when you are just starting with Vim. -- For a moment, nothing happened.
