It's good of you to declare an interest, but there is absolutely no
comparison between your tip and the tip that I'm complaining about.

Your tip involves a complex topic, and would be incredibly useful for
someone with a need. You give useful information in the tip, and refer to
your web site for more detail. You have done a lot of work for the Vim
community, and your site has a bunch of Vim info.

In the other case, the tip on the wiki has zero content, and simply points
to a personal web site. I think there's only one thing of value to a Vim
user on that site, and it's just a tricky regex (two lines).

I want this cleared up. Otherwise, we won't have a leg to stand on if
someone else does it.

  Please do something about this. It really needs a sysop to gently say that
we're sorry we didn't mention it earlier, but we want each tip to be
reasonably self-contained and valuable. As a matter of fact, we're going to
a lot of trouble to remove duplicate, obsolete and weak tips. We only want
links to external sites that have a reasonable amount of useful Vim
information.
