Glad you're back Luc... I'm slowly working on a bot that I hope would make categorisation much easier (although that's not my actual reason for wanting the bot). Grand plan is: - Bot reads all tips: save each tip in a separate file. - Script makes a CSV file: TipId,Status,Title,Categories - Person edits categories in the CSV file (reading the wikitext from the local text files). - Bot edits wiki where categories have been changed. This should be quite achievable, but even if I don't get it finished, I would like a local list of all wikitext for things like answering ipkiss's question about how many tips have an invalid title (like http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/VimTip1033). >> http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Vim_Tips_Wiki:Category_guidelines >> >> Is there anything more substantial you can advise before we proceed >> much further? > > In case a new category need to be added, we could add a > little comment about {{CatInfo}} OK - I'll try to do that. BTW I've modified CatInfo to allow an extra explanation line. http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Template:CatInfo John _______________________________________________ Vim-l mailing list [email protected] http://lists.wikia.com/mailman/listinfo/vim-l
