Hi, I'm trying to use the alt commands (for example ALT+I to insert a new item into an enumerate or itemize). However, instead of getting a new /item it inserts é. How can I fix my alt-key bindings so that they work properly? I don't need the accented characters, so if the solution blows their bindings away that's fine with me.
I am running gentoo linux, and I am using the "us" keyboard layout.
