Dear All, I have been experiencing this problem recently after I upgraded my MikTeX from 2.4 to 2.5. After compiling with \ll to dvi, I can open the dvi file with \lv, but if I chance something in my tex file and compile it again I get an error message that:
I can't write on file `mythesis.dvi'. Emergency Stop. I didn't have this problem before. Now, before every compilation I have to go to Yap and close the DVI file first. This is so awkward. This problem was known to be present with PDF files, but it was due to the locking of files by Acrobat. That problem by itself was cumbersome enough, and now I have the same problem with DVI files. Has anybody had a similar experience? And is there a solution to it? Regards, Hooman ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
