NOTE: Those modifications assume that you're using Skim, PDFView, or TeXniscope as your viewer. It *could* be changed to support Preview or Adobe too, but I don't quite see the point (especially with Preview). If you're doing LaTeX work on OSX, you should be using a viewer like those. All of them support auto-reloading of PDFs, so your PDF will automatically refresh at every change.
