I think there are multiple ways to skin that cat. Just because it's the
easiest for me to present here without doing much research, try putting
this in your .vimrc:

if &filetype != 'tex'
   imap <M-C-J> <Plug>IMAP_JumpForward
   nmap <M-C-J> <Plug>IMAP_JumpForward
   vmap <M-C-J> <Plug>IMAP_JumpForward
   vmap <M-C-J> <Plug>IMAP_DeleteAndJumpForward
endif
