I've got the file in /usr/share/vim/vim64/doc/help.txt using Debian Etch. The file is in the package vim-runtime: $ dpkg --search /usr/share/vim/vim64/doc/help.txt vim-runtime: /usr/share/vim/vim64/doc/help.txt HTH, James
