I'm using VIM on Windows for several years now.
I'm starting to use VIM now also on Linux.
Where do I need to store my personal plugins on a Linux distribution, without anoying /remapping other ones mappings and scripts for example ?

When I type: which VIM it returns /usr/vim/bin
My home drive is /home/eric

Must I make a directory in my home drive and let vim point to there for my personal plugins?
i.e: /home/eric/vim/vimfiles/plugins
