I bit the bullet and upgraded to 7.0. My Win32 GUI build in a single-exe installer (~10Meg) is on my site here:
http://ronware.org/gvim70-010.exe As the name implies, it's at patchlevel 10. Oh, and it's supposedly optimized for pentium4 machines, so if you have pentium3 or earlier it might not work.
