I can't enter Japanese if I don't use input method :) Well, I would guess that using input method somehow messes up the vims notion of changes to the text. Today I've tried to trace everything with :undol. After I enter Japanese for the first time the counting stops. It keeps showing me the same number of changes after that, no matter what I do. It would be good when someone else who has access to input methods (maybe also chineese?) would try this. BTW, presence of russian does not play any role.
