No, I got special consideration for Vim because I lobbied for it. :-)
I ended up tar.gz it on my Windows box.
I asked, not meaning to start a firestorm, because the Vim site for 6.4
said to get the tar.gz ones if you didn't want to get the big bz2 file.
I thought maybe it was an oversight that the tar.gz ones were not out
there as well. So I asked.
