Hmm the problem persists if I remove the AGP-card and the Matrox is the

Well the reason for not updating is that I've heard some stories, that
some software is not working correctly, when SP2 is installed
subsequently. So I've decided to install SP2, when I need to reinstall
XP. But my system is so stable (besides the problem of ViM) and I need
the computer for work...
But if anyone can confirm to me, that SP2 will solve my problem, I will
update...

PS: Besides SP2 I've installed all updates. And I know that support for
SP1 will end in the next weeks/months.
