Hello Vimmers,

I've been using vim for a while and think I have a good handle of it.
I have a couple questions though....

1. Why is it that ^ doesn't accept a count like $. Is it for historical
reasons since this wasn't implemented in the original vi? If this
is the case, why would adding a count break any backwards compatibility
   with the original vi?
2. When replacing in visual mode, why is the literal carriage return
   entered when enter is typed?
3. Why is dC-F not consider a valid deletion command. For that matter,
   C-F, C-B, C-D, or C-U?

Thanks in advance,
      Dan
