Thanks for expanding on my bug report. I have explicitly added Bram to

If your console Vim scrolls when you move the pointer off the bottom, it's working better than mine (in a konsole) which doesn't scroll at all in response to the mouse, and only shows the new selection when the button is released. I use gvim in Linux, and there I see what you describe, except that when moving the mouse very fast past the (text-style) tabline gvim usually scrolls rather than freezing.
