For at least filetypes html, sh, and perl, whenever I start a line with '#', it moves it to the very beginning of the line, ignoring any indent. It doesn't do this with filetype=c.Try to unset 'smartindent'. At least I had to do this for Lisp indenting :)
Unsetting smartindent didn't affect it. -- .
