Thanks, it works great with one exception. When the quickfix is the only window in the tab (i.e. :tab copen), then it does not respect usetab (it opens a new split). If I do a :new to have a empty open window above the quickfix window, and then jump to an error, it works perfectly. Strange. Thanks Marius
