I've just discovered, that ^ and ´ behave the same way with the orginal gvim
7.0. So it's maybe a generel problem of such dead keys.

But it doesn't change anything for gvim 7.0 with no patches.
But it's getting harder to reproduce it. It seems that `+<space> works
normally, until something special happens. And then it doesn't work any
more. Sometimes I can enter a lot of text and it still works and suddenly...
And sometimes I start gvim with the above command line and `+<space>
doesn't work at all.
Fortunately it works with the currect patch level.

"Something" in the 150-some patches to date must have fixed it. You can see
