My vimrc files are minimalistic! There are other applications which take much longer to load, and sometimes do not get to opening a window at all, like gxine. I suspect it to be related to some library module, but I have no idea which except it seems that applications using "alsa" are affected. But then again: Why would "Gvim" use "alsa"? I am scratching the installation (which is shameful;-) but all the same there is an update for SL-43 to SL-44 :-) BTW: Excuse me for sending the previous posting twice, my mistake, even if slightly varied message. -- http://d-axel.dk/ -- Donald Axel, Consultant -- [EMAIL PROTECTED]
