It is running on the server and there is no network? How come?
I thought you meant am I running it over a shared drive - the answer is no. I ssh into the box and run vim (binary) on the same box (and drive) as the file I am editing.
When you said that saving files takes almost 11 seconds, you mean just
Filesystem is ext3 on a super-fast SCSI hard drive. I'm not having this problem with joe. I have now, however, noticed that the other drive on the same server does NOT seem to be giving problems, so it's starting to look like a drive related issue.
