Hi,
Do you know what is the administrator email for the vim@vim.org alias? I
received emails sent by others to this alias fine, but I can't seem to
be able to send emails to this alias to ask question myself. I never see
them posted and I never got any replies to my questions.
I tried sending email to [EMAIL PROTECTED], but it was bounced back. How
do I get help? Thanks.
As far as I know (but I May be wrong), there is no flesh-and-bones person
administering the Vim newsgroups. IIUC (but again, maybe I understand wrong),
there is an old PC acting as a router somewhere at the Math faculty of Berlin
Free University, it reboots all by itself after any power failure that might
happen by mischance, and otherwise the people on the spot leave it alone.
Email sent to vim@vim.org has to be in plaintext only (no HTML), and it has to
be sent with the same "From" address as that under which you are subscribed to
the list. Nonsubscribers cannot post and HTML mail (or mixed HTML+plaintext
mail) is silently discarded with no bounce, as an anti-spam measure.
HTH
Best regards,
Tony.
