I don't think simply replacing all backslash to slash without any
platform checking is a good idea. Under Linux/Unix, backslash is also
a legal character in filenames. So I suggest escaping the character
rather than replacing it.

Please also Cc a copy of your patch to the maintainer of the script.
You could reach him by searching the plugin in www.vim.org.

By the way, please post your patch in the content of your mail then we
could add our inlined comments. It's not quite convenient to do such
thing if your sent your patch as attachment.
