Which version of Vim are you using?  Do you get the source from
CVS, SVN or ftp?

All tests pass for me using latest vim-7.1.285 (from CVS), with utf-8
encoding.

But I also wrote about test42 failing a few days ago: see email in
vim_dev mailing list from Tue, Feb 26, 2008 subject was
"test42 fails in vim-7.1.261 and beyond".

I was checking out Vim from CVS and it turned out that one file
(src/testdir/test42.ok) was corrupted in CVS!?  But it got fixed
afterwards in this revision:

revision 1.3
date: 2008/03/01 12:49:21;  author: vimboss;  state: Exp;  lines: +6 -0
updated for version 7.1-266

And now all tests pass for me when checking out latest Vim (7.1.285)
from CVS.
