I have tried this - but procexp doesn't provide that much information
- but from your text it sounds like you mean process monitor -
procmon, which I have tested (see my original post). There is no file/
registry activity when vim locks up.

I do, and I have tested with localhost %computername% and on shares on
a few other computers.

No, all antivirus software turned off/killed (even tried uninstalled),
and besides, it is only vim that has this problem.
