I think the C source already takes note of whether the int type is 32 or
64 bits (or even 16). I haven't checked the Makefiles (for Windows there
are several) but you might check what the ones in the "official" sources
look like. And then there's the question of compiling it: I'm not sure
whether Bram and/or Steve Hall have the use of a 64-bit Windows system,
but maybe (after checking the Makefile for your compiler to see that it
implements 64-bit objects if available) you could compile it yourself?
Or if the official Makefiles for Window don't yet foresee 64-bit
compilation, it could quite possibly be already in the pipeline. I think
Bram hasn't yet finished to surprise us with "nice new features" for Vim
7.3 (after variable line numbers, strong encryption, and additional
float functions, which are already in).
