I concur, all of these will be useful for scripts. You've omitted the suggested
{tabstop} argument from strdisplaywidth(), which should be fine for almost all
cases. (I once wanted to render to fixed ts=8, regardless of the current
setting, but could now achieve that by temporarily changing 'tabstop' for that
call.)
