Since setting fdm to manual solves your problem, I suggest trying this workaround, setting fdm to manual temporarily while in insert mode (unless you never use syntax folding, in which case you can just leave it at manual always): http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Keep_folds_closed_while_inserting_text I've recommended this more than once for working around insert-mode performance problems, can anyone think of a good title I could use as a redirect to this page to allow searching for it to solve a performance problem? -- You received this message from the "vim_dev" maillist.
