When I do :tabe %, the % file gets edited in a new tab, but the current cursor position in the original tab is lost.
1) edit a file in vim (single tab). 2) 50% - position the cursor half-way down the file. 3) :tabe % - open the same file in tab 2; in tab 2, the cursor is correctly put half-way down the file 4) gT - go back to tab 1 Actual result - the cursor on tab 1 is on line 1.
