Under ":help pfn-option", I read:
*pfn-option* *E613*
'printfont' 'pfn' string (default "courier")
global
This is the name of the font that will be used for the |:hardcopy| command's
output. It has the same format as the 'guifont' option, except that only one
font may be named, and the special "guifont=*" syntax is not available.
In the Win32 GUI version this specifies a font name with its extra attributes,
as with the 'guifont' option.
For other systems, only ":h11" is recognized, where "11" is the point size of
the font. When omitted, the point size is 10.
However, 'guifont' has several incompatible formats, and in general on
X11 systems it is neither as on Windows nor with :h11 :
GTK2:
set gfn=Bitstream\ Vera\ Sans\ Mono\ 11
Photon (untested):
set gfn=Bitstream\ Vera\ Sans\ Mono:s11
kvim (obsolete):
set gfn=Bitstream\ Vera\ Sans\ Mono/11/-1/5/50/0/0/0/1/0
other X11 (including the obsolete GTK1):
set gfn=-*-lucidatypewriter-medium-r-normal-*-*-90-*-*-m-*-*
Windows:
set gfn=Lucida_Console:h9:cDEFAULT
Other (incl. Mac):
set gfn=Monaco:h10
So what should 'printfont' be set to (and can it be used at all) in
cases other than the latter two?
Best regards,
Tony.
