However, it doesn't install all plugins, and some plugins require difficult setup because, well, they are powerful plugins that use lots of external programs, for instance. So bundling most plugins is hard if not impossible. Also, some linux distros bundle popular plugins for vim in their package managers. I'd also like to second what sc said - vim supports most programming languages out of the box. The only thing that isn't supported is usually good omnicompletion (c++ case, you need clang_complete for that, and it requires additional setup that is impossible to bundle). Just my 2c.
