Here's what looks like a minor virtualedit=all bug.

50o<Esc>
50i<Space><Esc>
:set virtualedit=all<CR>
<C-v>50kItest<Esc>

This results in `test` only on line 1 and line 50 rather than on all lines.

FWIW, an easy workaround is to just use `c` instead of `I`.

This is intentional, see :help v_b_I

To insert (well, append) the text on all lines and pad with spaces, use A instead of I, see :help v_b_A.

Best regards,
Tony.
