I was trying to subscribe to the vim-dev list by email. Therefore, I sent an email to [email protected] (see below in the header of the original message) -- as requested at http://www.vim.org/community.php My email was delivered, but the subscription was unsuccessful (due to "Joining via email is disabled for this group").
