Hi Attached patch adds @Spell to the runtime/syntax/cmake.vim file so that Vim only highlights spelling mistakes in comments when editing a CMakeFile with those settings:
:syntax on :set spell There are still several syntax files which do not contain support for spelling checker yet. It would be nice to improve them. I can send other patches for other syntax files (at least for those I am sufficiently familiar with) if there is an interest.
