Thanks Christian for converting my bug report to an actual test and coming up
with a patch, and Tor for the alternative, improved patch!

I compared the output to old Vim versions and didn't think of the recently
changed behavior.

I fully agree that this would be best, getting the improved formatting behavior
also in this case, and having formatting consistent throughout all cases. Thank
