By using vim 7.3.1004 on Windows 7, the following command doesn't work
anymore:
%s/^\n\+/\r
it hangs indefinitely, say, with the following text (without dashes):
--------------------
Tread lightly, she is near
Under the snow,
Speak gently, she can hear
The daisies grow.
--------------------
It only works with set re=1
