Yes, a) I'm using gvim (this is due an alias: vi=gvim ;-), and b) I forgot one command; the correct sequence is as follows:
gvim -U NONE -u NONE -i NONE --noplugin -N spanish.txt gg^ :set re=1 :so lang.vim 6j$a abc<ESC>k " ok! u gg^ :syn off :set re=2 :so lang.vim 6j$a abc<ESC>k " NOK!
