\v^(a*)\1$ seems to work as expected now. \v^(aa+)\1+$ works closer to how I'd expect. It matches all multiples of 2 and 3, but still doesn't match multiples of higher primes like 5 or 7, so 25/35/49 "a"s don't match. Old engine still matches those numbers as expected.
