What steps will reproduce the problem?
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/vim-7.4 --disable-gui
make
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expecting the make to complete successfully
what I get is this:

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Vim 7.4 on AIX 7.1 TL2 SP3
Vim 7.3 was working correctly
